Equine Wound Care

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Catherine Wilvert.  I am a practicing Registered Nurse since 1984.  I have had many years of wound healing experience in the hospital environment, as well as in three outpatient wound care facilities. My equine experience began in 1977 at Belmont Racetrack. I was responsible for the care and feeding of valuable thoroughbred racehorses. I also had working experience assisting a racetrack veterinarian during my years at Belmont.. I have owned horses since 1997, and currently own a small herd.  I am also the owner of Happy’s Pony Parties,

This experience, coupled with my nursing experience and knowledge of wound healing options, gives me a unique knowledge base to draw upon when attempting to heal problem wounds in the equine population.
